Philippine Youth Wide Summit 2013

I had the chance and opportunity to visit Baguio City known as “Summer Capital of the Philippines” last year to attend Philippine Youth Wide Summit held at Teachers Camp,  Leonard Wood Road, Baguio City, Benguet. A youth conference participated by young  and old from  Luzon to Mindanao. Lots of Christian young people attended the said event with the theme “C.L.A.Y ( Christ Living In Adventist Youth) “.

I was really blessed by the sermons and courses during devotionals and plenary sessions given by our guest speakers from General Conference (GC)  namely: Pastor Jonathan Tejel, Pastor Hiskiah Missah  and from local youth directors, namely: Pastor Heshbon Buscato, Pastor Jobbie Yabut.

We are more than 2o delegates from Mindanao headed by our Youth Directors Pastor Porferio E. Lagunday and Pastor Hesshbon Buscato.

I wanna share this message to you that really strikes and made me cry after the plenary session and realized something that God really loves me.  He keeps on molding me right now even it hurts.

   “The potter takes the clay in his hands, and molds and fashions it according to his own will. He kneads it and works it, and then tears it apart, and then presses it together. He wets it, and then dries it. He lets it lie for a while without touching it. When it is perfectly pliable, he continues the work of making from it a vessel. He forms it into shape, and on the wheel trims and polishes it. He dries it in the sun, and bakes it in the oven, thus it becomes a vessel unto honor, fit for his use. So the great Master desires to mold and fashion us, and as the clay is in the hands of the potter, so we are to be made in His hands. We are not to try to do the work of the potter. Our part is to yield ourselves to the molding of the Master-worker.  {BCL 32.1}”

Today, I fully understand why GOD allowed those things to happen to me even it HURTS. He is still molding me to a more beautiful and valuable vessel.  I must be willing and be used and let Jesus  mold me.

Are you willing to be molded by our Potter?God invites you now,will you let HIM in?

Here’s the video Report: Enjoy watching and be blessed!

Since, that was my first time in Baguio, I need to wear thick clothes to protect myself from a very cold weather .;) i just can’t believe it 2 consecutive days my nose was bleeding;) 😉

God wants the youth to become men of earnest mind, to be prepared for action in His noble work, and fitted to bear responsibilities. God calls for young men with hearts uncorrupted, strong and brave, and determined to fight manfully in the struggle before them, that they may glorify God, and bless humanity. If the youth would but make the Bible their study, would but calm their impetuous desires, and listen to the voice of their Creator and Redeemer, they would not only be at peace with God, but would find themselves ennobled and elevated. It will be for your eternal interest, my young friend, to give heed to the instructions in the word of God, for they are of inestimable importance to you. {MYP 21.1}
